Sam Cooke had real dealings with segregation and the Civil rights issue. Some of his lyrics were even based on something that happened in real life to him.

I really like this song. The lyrics are good, the singing is good. It has so many awards being some of the best songs in the world. It is one of the top 200 songs ever.

It allows me to learn about the hardships of the Civil rights Movement.
