Protecting Workers



La Folette Seaman's Act of 1915

This Act required decent treatment and a living wage on American merchant ships. One downturn to this act was that freight rates increased heavily.



Worker's Compensation Act of 1915

With this act, Wilson granted assistance to federal civil-service employees when they were disabled. He did this by giving them money.
