An Idealist Battles the Imperialists in Paris (Questions 46-48)

46. Who were the Big Four at the Paris Peace Conference?

The Big Four at the Paris Peace Conference were President Wilson, representing the United States, Vittorio Orlando, representing Italy, David Lloyd George, representing Great Britain, and Georges Clemenceau, representing France.

47. What was Wilson's ultimate goal?

Wilson's ultimate goal was to create an international organization and a world parliament, what he called the League Of Nations.

48. What was to be the compromise between Wilson's idealism and naked imperialism? In reality, what was this solution, really?

The compromise between Wilson's idealism and naked imperialism was that the allies would not just flat out gain out right control of land that they had won battles at. Those lands would be received as League of Nation Trustees. In reality, this solution was thinly disguised colonialism.

Take it away Nick!
